advice before taking this medicine.\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eAlthough no harmful effects of Symbioflor E. coli on the unborn child are known, the drops should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after a careful benefit\/risk assessment by the medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eCheck with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAdults take 10 drops three times a day with meals at the beginning of treatment.\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eAfter a week, increase the dose to 20 drops three times a day.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIf gastrointestinal symptoms such as flatulence, diarrhea, abdominal pain or discomfort
