Posterisan acute 50 mg/g application (pack size: 25 g).
- The medicine contains a locally effective analgesic (local anaesthetic) and is used to relieve painful discomfort in the anal area.

The medicine is used to
- relieve anal pain before a proctological examination.
Cetyl alcohol excipient (+);
Macrogol excipient (+);
Water, purified excipient (+).
Contraindications:

The medicinal product must not be used
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to lidocaine or any of the other ingredients in the medicine.
- Always use the medicine exactly as directed. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not too sure.

Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is:
- Usually the ointment is applied 2 to 3 times a day.
- The amount depends on the size of the areas of skin and mucous membrane to be treated.
- The medicine contains a quick and effective analgesic. It is therefore sufficient to use the ointment sparingly. The maximum dose of 2.5 g ointment (125 mg lidocaine) per single use should not be exceeded.

Duration of use.
- The ointment may be used prior to obtaining medical advice but only for a maximum of 3 days.
